Angular Momentum
An African Wildlife
Reverse painting on glass is a tradition that has several origins. One was in fashion in the 1920s and 1950s and was based on depicting silhouettes. Another was practised in the 19th and 20th centuries in various countries, according to a technique that is still used today. Finally, there is the Chinese practise of painting the interior of snuff boxes. Angular Momentum has devel-oped its own technique of reverse glass painting, by adapting the 19th century technique. With An African Wildlife collection, artists have reproduced hunting scenes featuring wild animals. An opening at 12 o’clock reveals the hour disc.Watch type: Mechanical
