Kalpa XL Tourbillon Diamants

Parmigiani decided to give women a chance to express themselves through a range of original creations. We owe this model to Nancy Thomas, a long-haul airline pilot and hot-air balloonist. She opted for a horological complication, while clothing it in diamonds, which are of course a girl’s best friend just as Marilyn Monroe used to sing… The white mother-of-pearl dial displays central hour, minute and seconds hands and a week-long power reserve at 12 o’clock. The tourbillon enlivens the lower part of the dial, while four topaz-cut diamonds adorn the corners. The 18-carat pink gold bezel and lugs are set with diamonds, and the white calfskin strap is fitted with a pin buckle set with brilliant-cut diamonds.
