The originality of this watch lies in the strap, consisting of a single band of leather encircling or “girthing” the wrist. There are no seams, no buckle and no device to secure the case. The case is fillet-edged and glossed in the characteristic Herm?s “saddle-making” style. It folds over and is fastened by a saddle tack carrying the “Herm?s Paris” emblem. It may thus be varied in an infinite number of ways. Round case with dial carrying circles and straight-line hour-markers. Hours and minutes, date at 3 o’clock.
