Pierre Kunz
Twirling Retrograde Seconds
A seconds hands that loops the loop like an Alphajet is the complication Pierre Kunz introduced this year. Positioned at 6 o’clock, this hand completes a revolution in 60 seconds before starting back again in 5/100ths of a second. This mobile retrograde function thus moves in a longitudinal manner. Contrary to the classic seconds hand with its 360° rotation, the retrograde seconds travels no more than 150°, while the twirling seconds boasts a 417° rotation. The seconds hand is in steel to keep it as light as possible. The hour and minute functions are offset on two separate counters with one hand each. The fluted Empire style case comes in the shape of an horizontal rectangle.Watch type: Complicated Mechanical
